Is Pompstation suitable for à la carte dining?

Bij Pompstation Amsterdam eet u elke woensdag-, donderdag-, vrijdag- en zaterdagavond van ons à la carte menu. Wij serveren premium steaks van de houtskoolgrill, verse seizoensvis en mooie internationale gerechten, vers bereid door onze ervaren chef Allessandro en zijn team. What sort of cuisine does Pompstation Amsterdam serve?

Pompstation Amsterdam is a steakhouse and grill with international influences: premium steaks, grilled fish, oysters and smoked vegetables, much of which is cooked over a charcoal fire, complemented by vegetarian and vegan dishes. We also offer an extensive cocktail and wine list featuring homemade syrups and fresh herbs.

Are there vegetarian options on the menu?

Yes. Although Pompstation is known as a premium steakhouse and grill, we’ve expanded our menu to include the most delicious grilled vegetables and fish dishes. So you’re also in good hands with us for vegetarian and vegan dishes — think burrata with roasted San Marzano tomatoes, aubergine parmigiana and a vegetarian seasonal menu as part of our group packages.

Can I visit Pompstation just for cocktails and live music?

Yes. At Pompstation Amsterdam, you can also take a seat at the bar without having dinner to enjoy cocktails, a glass of wine and live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Bookings aren’t compulsory for the bar, but are recommended on busy evenings.

Is there live music at Pompstation?

Yes. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, there’s live jazzy background music – usually instrumental – played by artists from, amongst others, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. The regular genres include jazz, soul, singer-songwriter and bossa nova.

You can always have a chat and catch up, as we ensure the music is always kept in the background. You can also ask for a table at the back of the restaurant, where the live music is a little quieter. The acoustics in our venue are renowned for being excellent — which is why so many musical events and parties take place at Pompstation Amsterdam.

Does Pompstation have a terrace?

Yes. Pompstation has a large, sunny terrace in the courtyard — a popular spot for drinks or dinner in the summer and on warm evenings. You can even book a table on the terrace, which is unique in Amsterdam. Terrace tables for groups can also be booked in advance; please contact us by email or telephone to arrange this.

Is Pompstation suitable for a group or corporate dinner?

At Bar Restaurant Pompstation Amsterdam, it is perfectly possible to organise a semi-exclusive or exclusive group dinner, corporate dinner, company outing or corporate party. Thanks to the spacious, high-ceilinged dining room, the venue is suitable for groups of up to 360 people.

If you have a smaller group of 20 to 100 people, our mezzanine is available for hire. It has its own bar, while still offering the conviviality of the restaurant and — where desired — the live music in the background downstairs, depending on the day. Various group set-ups are possible, from sit-down dinners to walking dinners, drinks receptions and parties. View the options athire & groups.

Can a group arrive by coach or boat?

When you book a group dinner, group lunch, corporate dinner or company outing with us, it is certainly possible to arrange a coach or group transport in consultation with our sales manager. Arrival by boat is also possible: after a short walk of about five minutes, you’ll arrive right at our doorstep. We offer packages where you can combine a lunch or dinner with your group with a boat trip. Please ask our events manager about the options.

How do I get to Pompstation Amsterdam?

Pompstation Amsterdam is located at Zeeburgerdijk 52, 1094 AE Amsterdam, in Amsterdam-East. Zeeburgerdijk 52 is easily accessible from the Amsterdam ring road (A10): you’ll reach our premises by car in just a few minutes. If you’re travelling by train from Amsterdam Central Station, you can reach us in under ten minutes by taxi, or by trams 14, 19 and 25 — all of which stop right outside our door at the Zeeburgerdijk stop. We’re also easily accessible from Muiderpoort Station, either on foot or by tram.

Where can I park at Pompstation?

If you’re coming by car and want to park nearby, that’s perfectly possible. There are several car parks in the area, but parking in the surrounding streets is also fine: there are often good parking spaces available on Zeeburgerdijk itself, in Borneostraat and in Timorstraat. You can check the rates via the EasyPark app.

Can I book online at Pompstation?

Yes. You can book online via the booking system atpompstation.nu, 24 hours a day. For groups of ten or more, a terrace table for a group or exclusive hire, please contact us viabooking formor by telephone on020 227 9885.

What are the opening hours of Pompstation Amsterdam?

We’re open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5.00 pm to midnight, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 5.00 pm to 1.00 am. Different times are possible for groups and events — including on other days and for lunch. Please get in touch with us to arrange this.

Is Pompstation wheelchair accessible?

Absolutely. We have a special ramp at the entrance and our staff will be happy to help. Please let us know when you make your booking, and we’ll take this into account when allocating tables.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, we’d love that. We do ask that your dog is well-behaved and calm, so as not to disturb other guests.
