Reviews

In the summer you can settle down on our beautiful terrace, the most tranquil garden of Amsterdam-East. Our terrace will open again in the spring of 2022.
Local & Sustainable food
Our focus lies with local seasonal produce with a preference for sustainable and organically grown. We want to proudly showcase what The Netherlands has to offer.
Our beef comes from Holstein “Double Dutch” milking cows and our seafood from sustainable fish stocks.

For wines above a €10,- purchase price, we charge a maximum of €20,- (excl. VAT) on top of the purchase price. This way you can enjoy our exclusive wines for a great price.

Music Programme →The Building
The robust, industrial building that is now home to Pompstation was built at the beginning of the last century (1912) in the characteristic sober style of the Amsterdamse School.
Since opening it has been used as a water pumping station for Waternet, the Dutch water management company. In earlier days giant water pumps stood in the area that is now the restaurant. Then in the eighties the pumps were moved to the basement directly under the floor. Especially on rainy days, the pumps will start to pump the water out of the city. This can sometimes be noticed by a gentle (or at times not so gentle) vibration that resonates throughout the building.
